Waterford Spraoi is delighted to announce that an Irish street artist or performer will work in Paris during 2022 thanks to a new partnership with Centre Culturel Irlandais.
Following an application process, which is now open, the successful artist will be offered a one-month residency at Centre Culturel Irlandais in the heart of Paris next year including flights, an allowance and accommodation in the centre itself.
The Centre Culturel Irlandais is Ireland’s flagship cultural centre in Europe. Inaugurated in 2002, the Centre Culturel Irlandais is situated in the Collège des Irlandais, or Irish College, formerly home to a large collegiate community of Irish priests, seminarians and lay scholars whose origins stretch back to 1578.
Through the residencies and its diverse cultural programme, the Centre Culturel Irlandais showcases Ireland’s dynamic contemporary culture on an international stage. Applicants must be Irish citizens or normally resident on the island of Ireland, with professional involvement in creative practice.
The deadline for applications is at the beginning of January each year for residencies running from September of the same year to June of the following year. Applicants will be notified of the outcome at the end of March.
This partnership with Centre Culturel Irlandais deepens European links by Waterford Spraoi and extends its services to Irish artists. For further information see:
