Spraoi is delighted Laois street artist Maria Corcoran has been awarded an Arts Council bursary. It maintains professional progression for an artist who remained active last year despite COVID-19 challenges.
Maria was one of three participating artists in the Spraoi 2020 N.E.S.T. (New Emerging Street Talent) initiative. Spraoi N.E.S.T. mentors artists and ideas and is presented in association with ISACS. Maria then performed her alter-ego, Beryl, at Spraoi Time 2020 and also last year she featured as an ensemble member of the Spraoi Lunch Fest tour to Wexford, Dungarvan and Waterford.
