Spraoi Festival has commissioned a new street dance performance from Waterford native and choreographer Rachel Ní Bhraonáin. This exciting production draws on an array of influences, including Waterford City’s vibrant club scene of an era when venues like Flow Motion and The Forum introduced pulsing dance tunes to a generation.
The show will premiere at Michael Street on the opening evening of this year’s festival, August 1st.
The show is produced for Spraoi by Deirdre Dwyer. Also drawing on musical influences is Rachel’s current touring show ‘Mosh’. Originally staged during Dublin Fringe Festival 2023 ‘Mosh’ is a vibrant celebration of mosh pit. If in your area, it’s well worth catching:
