The Spraoi Parade is Ireland’s unique summer celebration of art, craic, and community. Waterford people seize their streets in a powerful expression of the city’s contemporary culture. Hundreds of costumed performers radiate energy with an extravagant cocktail of sculpture, spectacle, performance, puppetry, sound, light, magic, and especially music. This year’s 30th Spraoi Parade is titled Discordia. It embraces music in all its forms – Spraoi wants you here to keep the beat!
New Route: Johnstown, Parnell Street, The Mall, Lower Quay, ending at the G.P.O. followed by fireworks launched from the river Suir.
