CALLING ALL DANCERS!
We need YOU to perform, as part of our dance community, in Spraoi’s brand new show DancingxCrossroads, Friday 1st of August at 9.30pm.
Local choreographer Rachel Ní Bhraonáin will create this celebration of dance and nightlife for the opening night of Spraoi Festival and we want Waterford’s vibrant community of dance lovers to be part of the show!
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The movers, shakers, prancers, jiggers, jivers, twisters, voguers, hoppers and boppers of Waterford, we need you!
You don’t need to be an experienced dancer, you just need to WANT to dance and have a good time!
Please Note: You must be over 16 years old and available to attend three rehearsals and the performance.
WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
Learn a short and simple choreography over three rehearsals, and then perform it right in the heart of our city, on August 1st. And don’t worry about stage fright, you will be hidden amongst the other audience members (similar to a flash mob) so you can have fun and perform, without the fear!
Rehearsals:
- Group A: Tuesday 22nd July, 7 – 9pm AND Sat 26th, 11am -1pm, Garter Lane Arts Centre
Or
- Group B: Thursday 24th July, 7 – 9pm AND Sat 26th, 3 -5pm, Garter Lane Arts Centre
*You decide which group you’re in. If you can only attend a mix of times from Group A&B get in touch!
Dress Rehearsal:
- Altogether Group A & B: Thurs 31st 6 – 10pm On Site in Waterford City
The Show:
- Friday 1st of August from 7pm – 11pm On Site in Waterford City
