Mission Roosevelt

Irish Premiere.
Let us begin with the idea that you are not an audience and this is not a show. This is an experience and an experiment; you will simultaneously be performers, guinea pigs, and gleeful spectators.
In Mission Roosevelt, we want to traverse the urban space, to take you on a journey, and to leave a colourful impression. We want to share with you the joy in the forbidden, and to show you the pleasure of using a taboo object, an object you may never have used before, which may change how you interact with the world around you.
The wheelchair is the instrument and the tool of Mission Roosevelt, the symbol of all which does not concern us, but which today belongs to us. It is the token for the differences we each face in conquering the city. A new experience of town planning, and a performance appealing to the participation of the public who, installed on wheelchairs, are transformed into a kind of firing squad, coming together as one merry war machine.
Mission Roosevelt is an invasion of the city.
Please note this is a participatory show. Booking is essential to take part, as places are very limited. A nominal admission price of €5 per person will be charged. Duration is 2 hours. Meeting point location in Waterford City will be confirmed via text closer to the event start.
Best suited to ages 14+, or a strong 12+.
