IRISH PREMIERE
The two acrobats of Be Flat have prepared a unique tour of Waterford for a select group of followers. The streets of the city, the facades of the buildings and the cobblestones and pavements below are transformed into an urban circus piste. The duo take their audience on an acrobatic and theatrical journey through the urban environment, encountering along the way a diverse range of “everyday situations”.
Ward Mortier and Thomas Decasstecker first met at a free-running gathering in Ghent in 2008. Sharing a mutual passion for music and movement, throughout the ensuing years it has led them to a unique and solid partnership. Their mutual interests, combined with their individual skills and expertise, guarantees a broad range of skills which are used to their full potential in this unique production.
But Follow Me is not just a performance to be watched, it is a playful collective journey through public space. So turn off your mobile phones, tighten your shoelaces, and let’s go!
The meeting point for “Follow Me” is the corner of O’Connell St and Meeting House Lane, at the Port of Waterford Building.

Be Flat Workshop
Performances by Be Flat at Spraoi Festival are supported by Active Cities Waterford and Waterford Sports Partnership. As part of this sponsorship, Be Flat will host a workshop with young Waterford people interested in Parkour style performance and activity.
