Fetch

IRISH PREMIERE
Thinking of the objectification of air, “Fetch” uses movement, sound, costume and sculpture to harness, hold, measure, carry and dance with the wind and air. The performers manoeuvre and adorn inflatable (sometimes spherical) sculptures, and move across the streets in one continuous direction.
George H Wale was selected as one of six artists from Ireland and the UK to receive a ‘Four Nations Outdoor Arts Bursary’ to create a new performance. The 2023 Four Nations project started with a four-day residency in rural Argyll, Scotland in January 2023, where the chosen artists got to network and develop their creative ideas with guidance from leading mentors and festival programmers.
The Four Nations Outdoor Arts Bursaries 2023 are supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, the Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland, Articulation, and Outdoor Arts UK.
Partners include ISACS and @Articulture Wales, and the participating festivals are Spraoi, Surge in Scotland and Green Man in Wales.
