Die Verdammte Spielerei

IRISH PREMIERE
For more than 15 years, Die Verdammte Spielerei, a jolly walking orchestra, has been performing at national and international festivals and concert halls, from Europe to South Korea.
Just another band of highly skilled, professional musicians, you might think at first, but Die Verdammte Spielerei is far from your normal marching band. They’re led by a deceptively strict Kapellmeister, a stand-up comedian in disguise, who misses no chance to take the mick out of any given — and preferably random — victim, all in harmony with his orchestrated accomplices. They’ve mastered a broad repertoire and shift effortlessly from classical, to jazz, to contemporary and popular music, dazzling audiences of all ages.
If you’re lucky, you might bump into this rogue “military” band wandering the streets of your city, seemingly lost, yet skilfully navigating to the nearest pub.
