In September Spraoi Studios warmly welcome artists Matt Szczerek/Kundle Cru who are currently developing a new show: ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’. It will be a physical performance work exploring pirate imagery, survival, instability, and the relationship between bodies and a quite different shifting set/prop structure. The work is still in development and has received Arts Grant Funding from The Arts Council to support this stage of production.
As the piece is being developed for outdoor performance Spraoi Studios offer outdoor performance space, with an indoor option in the event of poor weather. The work is being produced by Alexandre Maronna of Prominade.
Kundle Cru is an international contemporary circus group renowned for their innovative and physically dynamic performances that blend circus skills, dance, and theatricality.
Mateusz Szczerek is a Dublin based dance artist and professional member of Dance Ireland, artistic director for Irish based dance company Human Collective, and a chorographer for international circus/dance company Kundle Cru.
