The Always Marching Drinking Band (Catalonia)
From Catalonia in Spain, the Always Drinking Marching Band are set to bring Mediterranean musical fire & passion to Spraoi 2025!
A company of 9 musicians, actors, technicians, dancers and pub poets who have been performing in the streets throughout Spain and around the world, since 1997. Their name refers to the Mediterranean way of life – socializing in the streets, hanging out with friends in the squares, having some beers and tapas- “Always drinking!”.
The band works on taking their shows to every corner of the world, and strongly believes that the energy that results from combining good music and good humour is universal; it resonates in China and in Helsinki as well as in Bogotá and in Rabat.
Guaranteed to bring high quality music and sharp humour to the streets of Waterford.
Electro 28 (Catalonia)
Electro 28 present The Frame. There are chairs, eyes, words, signs, sounds, voices, tarmac and many other things.
There is a myriad of characters and among them, four who are trained in the disciplines of observation and arranging of whatsoever, who submit to the vertigo of the live flow in order to capture everything that happens during 45 minutes. This playful, poetic, and spontaneous street theatre performance has delighted audiences throughout Europe and has its Irish premiere at Spraoi 2025.
Tete de Mules Compagine (France)
Tete de Mules Compagine present Parasite Circus. This show is a collective act of liberation!
A desecration of common sense and the idea of political correctness A freedom cry against the daily burdens of life. Roaring laughter in the face of death, fear, disease, difference & deformity. Fairground theatre comes back to life and poetry invades the streets, with two Shakespearian buffoons, the magic of traditional circus, burlesque music and hideous puppets, which make the impossible possible! A great combination of comedy and Greek tragedy.
Vanhulle Dance Theatre (UK)
Olive Branch is a poetic tale of rediscovering the wonder and beauty that nature provides.
Following the new and unusual friendship between two strangers, they quickly learn to overcome differences, despite miscommunications, by developing trust and acceptance, an alliance is formed to defend mother nature. Olive Branch is a feel-good, funny and dynamic dance duet that intertwines contemporary dance with martial arts. Olive Branch is for children and families, made for the outdoors and perfect for schools. Choreographed by Laura Vanhulle and Oliver Robert Russell, the show is rooted around the themes of the importance of preserving green spaces and celebrating uniqueness and Neurodiversity
